Keith has never had to fend on his own, but after being swept away in a current and dropped into an unfamiliar rockpool, he must unlock his inner strength. Keith is half mantis, half pistol shrimp, and by combining the powers of both he is able to gain strength rapidly. With fighting off waves of cruel crustaceans and furious fish, he is able to cultivate his strength and technique to fend off foes with his powerful punches and calamitous cavitation bubbles.
Killing enemies will make them drop health packs or exp of some form that increments a level bar. Once the bar is full the game pauses and offers a selection of upgrades such as increased health, faster punch charging, greater max punch power or cluster bubbles.
As the game progresses more and more enemies, some stronger/bigger, spawn in and chase Keith. Punching starts as a pretty puny melee attack with a little cavitation bubble. Upgrades upgrade your charge speed, turning Keith into a rapid fire machine, or your damage and max charge, making him able to launch world ending punches with huge cavitation bubbles that explode a large area. Big/rapid punches also come with big sound and visual effect juices!
Known bugs and fixes:
- In the WebGL build, the options sliders for volume do not work on first load.
- Fix: Start game -> Press ESC -> Back to Menu -> Options screen now works!
